Big Island Horseback Ride from Kamuela -- Two-hour horseback ride on a famous ranch on the Big Island. Come and see where paniolos (cowboys) and horses first met 150 years ago. The ride starts at the Blacksmiths Shop, going on to the breaking Pen, through rolling hills to the Stone Corrals, where as many as 5000 head of Hereford cattle were held after being driven down from the slopes of Mauna Kea. See the Red Track where famous thoroughbreds were trained and still hold world records for speed.

4:00 pm ride is the Sunset Ride: Experience Waimea's breathtaking sunset on this 1 1/2 - 2 hour horseback ride. Refreshments are provided.

NOTE: For those who choose not to ride and are waiting for others on the ride, WAGON RIDES, HISTORICAL HOMES tours, and the VISITORS CENTER and MUSEUM at the Parker Ranch Shopping Center are alternate activities that are available.
