The Kona coast is home to over 80 dive sites within a short 15 to 20 minute boat ride. Lava tubes, pinnacles, and swim through arches characterize many of the sites we dive on a regular basis. Large pelagics (Manta Rays, Humpback Whales December-April, Whale Sharks, ...) and unique endemic creatures make diving in Hawaii a very rewarding experience. Water temps range from the mid 70's in March to the low 80's in late September with visibility consistently in the 100 ft. range.

Here are descriptions of some of our favorites dive sites:

Suck em up - very popular site offers 2 caves you can swim thru, Skull cave & Suck em up cave. A resident white tip reef shark can be seen napping during the day, moorish idols, trumpet fish, puffers lobsters, parrot fish.

Lone Tree Arch - A cavern along the shoreline with fresh water springs coming in. Coral heads, sand chutes & a large archway with frog fish, yelllow tangs & speckled scorpion fish.

Kaloko Arches - One of our favorite spots, A resident yellow margin moray eel, octopus, zebra moorays, ghost shrimp & bandit coral cleaner shrimps are frequently seen cleaning the parasites off the eels.

Turtle Pinnacle - Another favorite dive site where green sea turtles reside. A beautiful cleaning station is located around more attractive pinnacles. The Kona Honu mascot can be found there.

Casa Caves - Beautiful coral surrounding this swim through lava tube. White tip reef sharks, octopus, scorpion fish, turtles, viz. 80-100ft.

Carousel - A great big round room with many different size exits & skylights. Good possibility to see hammerhead sharks, pelagics, & Manta Rays. White spotted dolphins & spinner dolphins often play in the area.

Pawai Arches - Great Arch & cave behind it. Nice cave with big skylight next to it. Great for snorkeling, , octopus, abundant fish population. A preserved marine sanctuary.
